Our Mission
The ARAA was founded in 1992 as a resource for advertising professionals facing undue hardships related to the peer to peer criticism concurrent with today’s cutthroat advertising world, specifically as it pertains to advertising awards shows. Our mission at the ARAA is to provide a safe place for those who have at some point submitted or considered submitting an entry to any advertising awards organization, specifically to those who live and work in the Northwest. It aims to provide resources to those who have been rejected or face potential rejection through the rigorous process known in ARAA as the Death Screen Procedure.
The ARAA works through a series of counseling, programs, box socials and weekly anonymous meetings at local community centers, and by providing a volunteer hotline and chatline. For more information about ARAA and it’s services, please click here.

As we move forward into the 21st century, security is of upmost importance for the protection of both our volunteers and our members. Names are only used with express written permission, and in order to maintain a safe environment all information shared within ARAA stays within ARAA.
